Perhaps not for everyone, it had a nice small town atmosphere and since I grew up on a farm eons ago, I always like the homely feeling of a place like that. It looked like locals gathered there routinely for coffee.

We were cruising along on a one week trip to Nova Scotia. Needing a bathroom break I asked my wife to pull in at the first sign of civilization. Rounding a bend the cafe came into view and my wife hit the brakes. After I used the facilities my wife went in and as I was standing there I noticed the chef making up the some nice looking potatoes. There was a special on the board of a breakfast biscuit with pan fried potatoes, and I had to try that. Turned out to be my best memory of the whole trip. The biscuit was heated on the grill (toasted?) and had cheese, egg and bacon. The potatoes were the best I had tasted in years. Coffee was good too. Wished there was a place like that around here.
